HAND SACK AKA SAC DE MAIN

JUNE 2008 IN MONTREAL ``HAND SACK TOURNAMENT AKA TOURNOI SAC DE MAIN`` PRESENTED BY ``LA RIBOULDINGUE``.

YOU-TUBE 2008

THE HAND SACK IS BACK, THE END OF APRIL WILL BE THE END TO ENTER THE 1 OF 2 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN OPEN SINGLE FREESTYLE 2008. THE NEXT ONE WILL END IN NOVEMBER.

WITH 2 HAND SACKS, THAT’S JUGGLING TOO!!
2.1.1 JUGGLING 2 (TWO Sacks using ONE Hand by ONE person) AKA “DO 2”
The Double in its original form can be done in “Circles” or “Columns”, this helps to avoid mid-air crashes between sacks. It might be a bit too hard in the beginning to worry about the form kept by the sacks used on the same hand. In this case go with the tricks by just focusing on keeping those 2 sacks up in the air.
Juggle 2 Circle2.1.1.0,01  (clockwise as right sided)
Juggle 2 Reverse-Circle” 2.1.1.0,02(counter-clockwise)
Those last 2 are more vertical oval shape, rather than a circle. A good height would be at least at eye level, no less and if possible a foot more, for rhythm and more catching time.
Juggle 2 Columns” 2.1.1.0,03 The hand will be tossing the sacks, side to side parallel, each going up and down at opposite timing.

2.1/1.1.1        Flash   To “Flash” is to Master the “Catching” of  2 sacks, that are almost at the same place in time and space, by doing the first catch as fast as lightning, the catch and toss, upfront extended in an instant and retracting for the second sack to be doing the same as well, like an automatic rifle shooting 2 shots!! This practice comes in handy for saves, when things go out of control, with a hand outnumbered and late, a little Flash can just put it all right back in to place. And later on when we get to some Multi-Plex Juggling material, this skill will pay off double!! It is a basic form of Multi-Plex already.

WAHSSA’s TRICKS 3.0 & +… AKA JUGGLING

3.0.1 -“The Starts”: As long as you have only 2 sacks with 2 hands to start, it’s easy. For example, it’s easy to use the other hand to toss in for a Double with one hand. But when you get to 3, it’s different! You can use a pinch on the hand that has 2 sacks to start with, the pinched sack is the second toss of course. The foot up is always a good way to start, it’s very visual too! Great to pick up a drop, but the foot pick is hard to do when busy juggling 2, especially if using only one hand!
3.1.1
1-“3 THREE Sacks using ONE hand by ONE person” AKA “TRISAX”. Not easy to do, you need a way to start and height constant and elevated! Practice back and forth, down to 2 all the time to get that, and back up to 3, using the palm of the good hand to start is OK! You’ll need the other hand for the start too anyway! Either Columns, Circle or even Pistons, no worries, just to keep it up is nice enough lookin’.
2-“3 Sacks juggled with 2 hands but going in a circle form. This in juggling is called “Wheel” and is done using 2 objects by most beginners in juggling as a mistake, rather then crossing instead of circling. The only way so far to do this easily is to double the height of each toss and transfer from catching to tossing hand using a half a FU. This is called “Fu-Wheel”.
3.2.1 The basic tricks of juggling 3 sacks with 2 back hands. (3 sacs. 2 hands. 1 person = 3.2.1)
3 Sacks using 2 Hands by ONE person” AKA  “Regular Back Hand Juggling” or  “JUGGLING”.
Not so many jugglers or Myachi hand sack fans have been properly been given information on this ancient art, that other than Tai-Chi, has left little traces anywhere. This a more advance level of learning, so feel free to go back to “Single” or “Doubles” when stuck on a specific trick, to master its basis better, then go back to 3 and nail it!
3.2.110-“Flats”: To keep all tosses flat, good luck!
3.2.121-“The Juggling-Hand-Over R” & 3.2.121-“The Juggling-Hand-Over L”  is when one hand does a Hand-Over (half a Cold-Fusion) before the catch. It may seem to be a 360, but it's not. The hand will go around in the regular form, around the sack before catching it. If the trick is continual on a same side, it's called "Juggling Over&Over". If the If the hand goes around with one sack back and forth from left to right and back, this is called "Juggling Infinite-Over". To have all 3 sacks being gone around on both sides EVERY time, is the amazing 3.2.129-"Juggling-Fusion".
3.2.1291-"Juggling-360" is much harder and also much less fun to look at! In this case of the Hand-Over the hand goes around before the catch and the toss done quickly afterwards is regular. In the Juggling-360, the hand does a 360 after the catch and between the toss, so it makes it 2 catches and 2 tosses, therefore why it's so much harder than it's cousin "Juggling Hand-Over".
3.2.211-"Juggling-Hand-Rover" this will be the same as above, but with the hands going around in the opposite direction. A Hand-Over on the right side going counter-clockwise, is what is considered REGULAR, that will be opposite for the left hand of course. To make both sides go the same way is called "Waves" and it will be covered later. So for now, by going backward, you will be able to do the following basics..3.2.112-” Juggling Rover&Rover"...3.2.113-"Juggling Infinite-Over"...3.2.114-"Juggling-Re-Fusion"… 3.2.114-"Juggling-Double-Rover (rev. 540)”".

3.2.131-“Juggling Underarm”
3.2.151-“Juggling-Underleg” is when a “Underleg Toss” is done to replace a regular toss. This has to be done so the pattern and rythm of the juggling keeps going normally. If need be toss the sack before the underleg on the left side higher to give more time for the toss, and also if wanted, toss the sack after the underleg on the other side, a bit higher as well, this will give more time for the hand who did the toss to come back for the next catch. Once you master the regular "Juggling-Underleg", you may get to "Juggling-Underleg-Underleg", then "Juggling-Underleg-Infinite" and to finish the regular angles of variations..."Juggling-Underleg-Fusion".
3.2.161-"Juggling-Underleg-Catch" is self-descriptive, it's the backward aspect of the underleg toss usually called "Juggling-Underleg". Since the backward of a toss is a catch, it named itself over time and confusion. The “Juggling-Cross-Underleg-Catch” is the next step after. There is also the fact of juggling regular but with one (even 2 if you can) hand being under and accross the leg on the same side (other side can be done too).  That is the "Underleg-Stand-Juggling".
3.2.171-“   “.
3.2.2 This is a classic in the world of the hand sack as well, it’s the basic passage to enter the world of “Passing” in Juggling. In this case each person uses ONE hand of choice, one person may use his other hand or else to bring the first toss in play and get the juggling pattern started. 3 Sacks using ONE hand for each of the 2 persons. Passing is quite an unlimited thing itself, times 2 or more, depending how many people are there in the pattern.
3.3.1-(AKA 3.2/1.1)-My favorite third and extra “surface/part/element” to bring into a regular juggling pattern is most usually the foot, either for kicks or stalls!
3.3.111-“Kicking-Cascade”: This splits in all possible kicks, which is all hits done with the lower body parts. F-“Juggling-Toe-Kick” and of course the entire basic family of the foot kicks, “Juggling-Inside-Kick”, “Juggling-Outside-Kick”, “Juggling-Clipper-Kick”. It is quite easy to get out of the timing of your juggling pattern, to avoid this kick low and make other 2 tosses a bit higher. Also the “Juggling-Knee-Pop” is a bit easier to get use to that rhythm, but the hit needs to be hard in this case.

3.3.120-“Stallin’-Cascade”: This splits in all possible kicks, which is all hits done with the lower body parts. G-“Juggling-Toe-Stall” and of course the entire basic family of the foot stalls, “Juggling-Inside-Stall”, “Juggling-Outside-Stall”, “Juggling-Clipper-Stall” and “Juggling-Knee-Stall. It is quite easy to get out of the timing of your juggling pattern, to avoid this toss low for the foot stall and make other 2 tosses a bit higher.

3.3.130-“Upper-Stalls”: 3.3.31-“Juggling-Wing” is when a catch and toss is simply done by the wing surface of one side. This category will be all upper-body unusual surface catches, such as “Juggling-Mantis”, “Juggling-Spiderman”, “Juggling-Sling-Shot”. Don’t forget of course to do them all lefty and righty, from one side to another infinite, then continuous and in Fusion style if you can handle it!
3.3.132-“Upper-Hits”: H-“Juggling-Popper”, and the family of the upper-body hits, including of course the infamous already “Juggling-Trampoline”, “Juggling-Wing-Attack”, “Juggling-Mantis-Attack”, “Juggling-Spiderman-Attack”. It does get useful overtime to control the sack to keep it flat, this becomes more obvious when hitting it, that’s when those 4 corners come into play in the most annoying way possible.
3.3.141-“Kickin’-Angel”: This is the art of keeping one sack on each hand while doing kicks (Lower).
3.3.142-“Strikin’ Angle”: This is the art of keeping one sack on each hand while doing hits (Upper).
3.3.143-“Twistin’ Angel”: This is the art of keeping one sack on each hand while doing Upper-Unusual-Stalls.
3.3.144-“Flowin’ Angel”: This is the art of keeping one sack on each hand while doing Lower-Unusual-Stalls.
3.3.151-“Triple Bouncer”: This is to use any bouncing element (big ball, couch, trampoline...) to make a regular toss and catch of the pattern, being replaced by a bouncing toss and catch going with that same timing if possible. If not slow down the 2 sacks you have control on, waiting for the bouncing one to come back, move under if that makes it all keep moving and lookin’ better.
3.3.161-“Pandora’s Pyramid”:This is a rotating chain of 3 sacks, going in a turn around all 4 surfaces as decided but only using 3. Usually it’s 2 back hands and 2 toe stalls. So this intriguing juggling practice that starts with…. 2 Hands 1 Foot, then… Click #1, 1 Hand 2 Feet… Click #2, 2 Feet 1 Hand… Click #3, 1 Foot, 2 Hands…Click #4, 2 Hands. 1 Foot.
3.3.171-“Street-Juggling-3”.This is one of the coolest ever, since it’s never the same, it’s to use an element in the street walking instead of a foot or else, as the third element. Hitting it off a stop sign for a drop pick, sliding up and down on a mailbox and anything coming in your path. Going thru bars with sacks or hands…
3.4.1 A-Either the other foot…A kick to a sliding or bouncing surface to a stall and up!!! Yeah it’s that crazy, I won’t even go there yet! Just yet!! “Juggling-Street-Kicking-Style”. A very wide and creative category right there!
3.4.2 A “Double-Switch&Stall” while doing also a  foot stall to foot stall between the 2 person, with the third sack!
3.3.3 This is a circle freestyle game for 3 people, or more! Each person must toss to the person to his left or(/and) right, make that choice before. The toss will help if a bit higher, this gives more time for the person to find the catch coming, the more people, the harder it gets!
4.2.1 It’s 2 hand sacks in each hand, so it’s “Double-Double-Circles” or “Double-Double-Pistons” on each side.
4.2.2 It’s “Double Switch” on both sides either at the same timing or not. This is called “Dualing-Double-Switches”.
4.2/2.1 It’s Juggling 3 while doing footwork with the fourth sack. “Juggling-Shred”.
4.4.1 “Pandora’s Box” … The Ancients said, “Only who is ready may open it” …
This is 4 sacks, going in multiple actions on all 4 surfaces as decided, usually it’s 2 back hands and 2 toe stalls. So this intriguing juggling practice that starts with…. 2 Back Hands 2 Toe Stalls, and it stays like that, for the basics at least. Balance will be a bit hard at first, while understanding the different timings in the switches and multi-taskings! That’s right, there can be as many sacks in action as desired, even 1 is accepted as a great practice and/or presentation aspects. These will be called “degrees” so a 3rd Degree Move is involving 3 sacks for actions. This way, it will be easier to follow all the stuff in the box!
1st Degree of “Pandora’s Box”… Pandora’s 360s (always on all 4 please) … Pandora’s Rev. 360s … Pandora’s 720s … (No ID#, no left and right and few variations or combos, and yet it will be a lot!)
2nd Degree of “Pandora’s Box” … Hand/Hand Switch … Hand/Toe Switch … Toe/Hand Switch … Toe/Toe Switch … Hand/Toe Cross Switch … Toe/Hand Cross Switch … Underleg/Hand Switch … Cross-Underleg/Hand Cross Switch … Toe/Hand 360 Switch… Toe/Hand 720 Switch… Toe/Hand 180 Cross Switch… … Toe/Hand 540 Cross Switch… … Hand/ Toe 360 Switch… Toe/Toe 180 Switch…
3rd Degree of “Pandora’s Box” … Hand 360+Hand/Toe Switch …Pandora’s Triple Link (all 4 clicks)…
5.2.1 One day, I’ll write this!!!
6.4.2 Back in the days of 1999, already in the first myachi video, we can see it done for a few reps. Of course this was using a regular cascade and the timing of the passes can be of three basic speeds…Every Every Other, Every Other and Every. At Every, it is hard to do other tricks but in Every Every Other you get the choice of 1 or 2 moments without passing, for tricks to be made.

WAHSSA 3.0 TECHNICAL NOTES AND EXTRAS

First let’s touch a few good basics about juggling itself
2/3.1/2.01         RHYTHMS and SPEEDS
The 3 ryhtms for speeds of tricks in juggling patterns. This is also how 2 person can have a way to tell and know when to do “Passing” between them, without words in a routine fashion. This is first done by counting the catches made by the hand that will be tossing the hand sack, in most cases, your right hand. When every catch is a toss to the other person, this is called “EVERY Sack”. This is very fast and also quite difficult to do either if passing with someone or doing tricks in a juggling pattern. That’s right! This can be used for both Passing and Tricks and also comes in handy (lol) when time to do a “Juggling-Duel”. So to try something easier, let’s try “EVERY OTHER Sack”, which means that the first catch is kept by you in the regular juggling pattern (or else), and the second is tossed to the other person as a “Passing”. And to get to where most people get started at to learn this, “EVERY, EVERY OTHER Sack”…This gives enough time to get back in the regular pattern before having to do a pass, counting 2 passes to yourself before tossing the third one. Remember that in passing, for every toss you make, you get a toss too!
2/3.1/2.02          DIFFICULTY RATION
The hand sack VS hand Ratio for Speed Difficulty of tricks. To do 2 sacks with 2 hands is quite easy, it’s a ratio of one. As easy almost as one sack with one hand, also being a ratio of 1, this because with divide the # of sacks by the # of hands used. So if you are juggling 3 sacks with 2 hands, the ratio is 1.5 (3 divided by 2). So this means that it’s easier in difficulty to juggle 2 sacks on one hand (ratio of 2) then to juggle 3 with 2 hands! That’s right!! Of course this perfect juggling math system doesn’t count the fact that nearly nobody is ambidextrous, and therefore…It’s easier for most people to juggle 2 items with one hand then to do 3 with  hands. Also more visual work comes into play, dealing with more functions to be used, such as one extra hand and one extra sack to deal with. This will not effect much of the teachings here, but is a great thing to know when entering the world of juggling.

3.2.2.0* Juggling-Duels”: A ONE on ONE problem solver!

In case of any dispute about who’s the best juggler or something else, a “Juggling-Duel” maybe called toward someone. That someone gets to choose what type of duel it will be…”Double-Tricks”, ”Double-Solo” or “Myachi-Juggling”. Each person chooses his own sacks and a flip of the sack using “Myachi/Logo” will decide who’s first in a Head/Tail sort of way!
